Reconstruction of daya art valley's waterfront public space in Mengshan, Linyi, Shandong

In the context of contemporary rural revitalization, "public space" usually exists in a variant form. Public space serves not only local villagers but also tourists from other places who consume rural space. This project attempts to break the traditional pattern of binary opposition between local and remote areas, and uses "water" as the carrier to carry out secondary design of the existing rural grand stage, to open the hotel supporting facilities serving tourists to public spaces, and to reconnect the originally isolated functional sites with landscape trails, thus re-integrating the old and new public spaces created by the waterfront and achieving the goal of eliminating the living boundary between villagers and tourists and reconstructing the public atmosphere of the rural waterfront space.
