Tang Jie

Tang Jie, born in Yueyang in 1989, is the lecturer of Department of Art and Crafts of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and works and lives in Dalian, China. His installation work explore the relation between people and objects, between people and the society, and between objects. He mainly works with natural objects as his materials. His works encourage viewers to make associations and embody the Buddhist wisdom by combining modern technology and traditional Chinese philosophy and by interaction between viewers and his works. Tang Jie's works are narratives of objects which radically return to the sources of things, simple and natural. In such a process, he feels being, life and universe attentively, explores the laws of Nature and finally find a pure land making oneself truer.
