A boat tour of Shanghai

Located in the delta region, the downtown area of Shanghai used to have dense water network and busy shipping. However, with the urbanization and land reclamation, a large number of central rivers are covered or filled.

To arouse the discussion of this topic, our team work on a series of urban studies. The potential of commuting and historical sightseeing along the Suzhou River have been explored during our study.

The panel is drawn by two colors, magenta and blue. Through the red, green filters, visitors can observe two different layers activities (commuting & sightseeing) along the river bank. The rich line drawing and funny conversation also represent the metropolitan’s vivid and magic life.
