Liangzhu Campus is the new campus of China Academy of Arts, new home for College of Innovative Design, College of Art Management and Education, and College of Continuing Education. It will house 3000 full-time students and 1000 continuing education students. The four main objectives of this new campus include development of interdisciplinary innovative talents; promote design and informational economy; integration of artificial intelligence technology; and to set bench mark for contemporary design education.

Design of the Liangzhu Campus aim to create innovative teaching spaces for the future, and to promote manual work and practical operations at the same time. We do so by redefine the tradional teaching spaces and transform the typical "classroom" into "workshops" with multiple functions. Prolonged workshops provide possibilities for diversified teaching modes.

The vertical stratified system of dormitory, social space and workshops creates a community that embodies the concept of "college as community". This is the core idea guiding the overall layout of Liangzhu Campus. It is a positive response to how Liangzhu Campus becomes a future-oriented Innovative Campus.
