Sea Horizon

" Sea Horizon " is the geographical boundary between sea and sky, as well as the vanishing line of visual retrospect. It is the background of the city and the forefront of the home. It is the starting point and home of the other side's journey, also the witness of light and darkness, twinkle and flow. " Sea Horizon " is bathed in the waves of ebb and flow of tide, but also the dawn of the long night and sunset moment turned into a long rhyme. Sea Horizon is the artist Guan Huaibin's impression of Shanghai's unique geographical location along the Huangpu River and by the East Sea. It is also related to the convergence between Shanghai and the world through the past century and a series of cultural landscapes triggered by rapid urbanization. The surfaces of the two copper rings are etched with dozens of English and Chinese vocabularies related to light and darkness, shuttle between the front and back of 20 metal huts. The audience can look into the distance and overflow imagination, touch this energetic boundary, experience the spiritual core of light and darkness, and learn about the relationship between the turbulent sea world and Shanghai's urban landscape.
