22 waterfront pavilions along Huangpu River and 6 Colorful Community Projects
The opening ceremony will be held at No.2 Pavilion ( Minsheng Road Ferry Terminal, west to 80,000-ton Silo Art Center
Events of the project will be held at: Pudong library, 88 Qiancheng Road, Pudong New Area and Modern Art Museum Shanghai, 4777 Binjiang Avenue, Pudong New Area
The main purpose of the Site project at Pudong New Area is to show the civic achievements in recent years, including Waterfront Pavilions, linking open spaces on the East Bank of Huangpu River and community planning.
The theme is “Connecting Waterfront and Encountering Joy”
The project centers on the theme of SUSAS 2019, ”Encounter”. Based on planning efforts in Pudong New Area in recent years, the project demonstrates the rich and colorful waterfront activities and community life and shows people a more "beautiful" lifestyle. It also encourages wide participation to “connect” waterfront and hinterland, community and community. It expects to present the idea that, with a series of SUSAS community events, Pudong New Area has been trying to make people live better lives in recent years.
Public spaces on the East Bank of Huangpu River in Pudong New Area+ Waterfront Pavilions +Colorful Community
The site project is composed of two parts: 1) physical space, 2) planning and design.
The physical spaces include public spaces on the East Bank, 22 Waterfront Pavilions and 6 representative riverside community projects completed in the last two years. The main site is the No. 2 Waterfront Pavilion which is located on the west side of 80,000-ton Silo Art Center.
Planning and design includes the process of linking public spaces on the East Bank of Huangpu River, characters and anchors of public spaces on the East Bank, design process, drawings and models of Waterfront Pavillions.
